Notation
The standard notation can be seen on the right. The right widget may not work in some browsers, so there is the the one at the bottom to use.
Standard turns are turned clockwise 90° on its face. This is shown by a single capital letter. For example, F is the front face turned clockwise 90°.
Inverse turns are the same as standard, but are turned counterclockwise 90°. This is shown witha capital letter followed by an apstrophe. For example, F' is the front face turned counterclockwise 90°.
There are also slice moves, which move the layers in between the normal layers. These are M, S, & E. Slice moves follow the standard & inverse rules of the layer next to it that is closest letter to it in the alphabet. For example, the M layer is in between the R and L layers. This means it follows the way that the L layer moves, Seen in the graphics.
There is double layer turns. These are shown with a lowercase letter.
Last there are rotations. They are shown with X, Y, & Z. These can be shown in the graphics.
